I am 16 years old and have recently aquired a 1966 ford fairlane with a stock 289. I am currently in the process of rebuilding the motor with my dad and i am looking for a reasonable rebuild kit. I have found one on e-bay for $60 dollars that comes with all namebrand parts but i was wondering if that that deal was legit considering most rebuilds i have found cost around $300. If you have any information regaurding this then your info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Derrick.

I copied this post for my son from the vintage thread.

It doesnt look like they have it for sale any more but they have a piston and ring set item #2464472670 and a full gasket set item #2465447020. Check it out.
