I have a question regarding my alternator. Apparently, it puts out enough charge under a normal load, but under a full load, it doesn't. For example, some times turning my head lights on labors the engine a bit, or my radio shuts off by itself. I am going to replace the alternator, should I get a higher output alternator than the original, or would a higher output alternator do me any more good then the original, thanks

How good is your battery?
Will your battery accumulate more if you go up on the alt.?
Often its about the battery...
Good luck!
