Hi everyone! I am desperate for some advice! I picked up a 90 full-size Bronco that was in great shape (or so I thought). The most recent problem which has me stumped is that when I start the truck, the motor races to 2500-3000 rpm and hangs there. Nothing appears to be stuck. When you drop it in gear, it returns to a reasonable 1000 rpm with the brake on. However, it feels like it cuts in and out (wants to die). Once in a while, when you start it, it runs fine but the "check engine light comes on". I am convinced that it is a sensor somewhere but have no idea where to look. If I cant fix this reasonably, it may have to go away. :-( Havent had a trouble free week yet! Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
