What diff between the 8.75 and 8 in rear ends in the 78 Granada? Which is stronger? I'm not sure on what to use I have both. It is going in a 36 sedan.

TIA,
Chris

The 8" is a smaller version of the 9". Fairly sturdy, with decent aftermarket support. Identified by center section that removes from the front.

The 8.7" has a cover on the back side to access the gears. Not much parts availability. Might also be a 7-1/2" if it's out of a 6cyl.

You can also look for a '57-'59 Galaxie for a 9" in the same width as a Granada if you need something beefier for a big motor.
