You guys are so good (nailed my IAC problem) I figure I will try you again. On my 90 Bronco, the back window works fine from the dash switch but not from the key and the rear defog does not work. I took off the little panel and looked and it seems as if some wires to the key are missing. The real question is, is there any other way to get in there with some more room rather than just taking off the little panel and then working inside the truck with it all closed up (so I can see the switch)? Thanks guys for all the help!!! Dan

On my 88 Bronco, I split the tailgate and gutted all of the parts, so that I would know how to fix such a problem. The switch that the key fits into has one bolt holding it to the tg., so if you can get to that bolt and pull the switch out some, you may be able to check the wiring. There's 2 plugs, each with 3 wires. There's 3 wires coming in to the tg from the front switch, and they split before reaching the key switch. Sometimes these get pinched by the tg, and your key won't work. I don't remember if you can see anything by removing the driver's-side taillight lens or not, but it's worth a try. My window wouldn't roll down today, the motor would just spin (stripped gears). I got it down by pulling on the arms of the regulator, and I still have all of my fingers to type with!!!
