Biodiesel in 6.0 powerstroke

Bought a used 2004 Excursion 6.0 this summer with 48000 miles. Carfaxed was clear,no major problems.Lart week the check engine light came on,made an appt. with local Ford dealer.The first question asked was did I ever run biodiesel because this will screw up this engine.This was noted on the service envoice.Has any else been told this or heard of this?Is this true or bull?Not 100% biodieselbut the biodiesel offered at the the pump B20 or B5.

The only engine I've researched that will handle B-diesel are certain years of Mercedez-Benz 300 series, i.e. '82-'6, or whenever the mechanicle injectors were run. The inline 5 cyl. will eat biodiesel forever.

Any modern Elc. fuel injected diesel (PSD, etc.) will become damaged by the B-diesel...

I researched this when i thought of b-diesel for my 7.3L 2001...

Unfortunately,the only diesel fuel offered in Illinois is B-20,20 percent biodiesel.At least in my area.
