want to buy thi x...but cant find the problem....truck starts fine, but as soon as you put it in drive, it lunges and dies...owner has replaced trans,,,does same thing....any ideas on the problem we have????i am open for anything to check...would like to buy it if it can be fixed....'00 x-----v-10

Is the ignition key being used the original or is it a copy?If it is not correct "computer" chip key the theft deterent system will kill the motor.Don't know if this will help or not.

hi, im new to this page but i am a ford tech. i think your prob is with the lock up mode of the torque converter. its stuck in lock up, it may be the converter or the signal to it. so when you put it in gear its direct drive like popping the clutch in a stick shift thats why it lurches forward. hope that helps.
