I have a 2000 Mercury Grand marquis and my car is acting up, it sat for about 24 days straight and when I came back it I can drive it that fast, when I set on the gas the over heat light will sometimes come on but when it does the guage doesn't move, it sometimes even will cut off when I am driving it down the street and I have to park it and cut it back on. I went to the Ford dealship to run test but I think they don't know what they talking about, they say the alternator and mass air flow sensor can cause these problems and I replaced both and the car seems to be acting worse, they suck and I am not going back so I need some help, I think it is a electrical problem with a sensor but I am not sure, the final test ford did the said the PCM was bad and could not be reset and I need a new one but I don't want ot trust them cause those other too parts all ready run me over 450 dollars and I wanted some other advice before I spend any more money because that part is expensive. Anybody have any ideas and if you need more details just ask me.
