I am in the process of putting a 1999 crown victoria police car frame , drivetrain and wiring under my 1970 ranchero. I have removed all wiring and relocated on top of motor (it still runs) I want to strip the subframe from the ranchero and drop onto new frame. Has anyone ever tried to do this? The wheelbase is the same but the frame is a little too wide (I will narrow the frame a little). The rear frame over the wheels is much higher than the ranchero bed so I will tub the wheelwells a little to hide it. Any suggestions would be helpfull.
