Hey guy's... new to this site and the new owner of a 2000 p71. looked on this site for an answer to my problem ,but did'nt see the exact same problem..which is a tranny issue-my car will take off and go through the gears until 4th(od) it just revs up when your foot is on the gas in 4th gear.if you press the od off button it wil drive through all gears except od obviously. so i've been driving it with the od off and drove back 300 miles from where i bought it with no issues except lower gas milage.there are no check lights on or blinking and it runs fine otherwise ....wondering if its a common problem with the crown vic or do i need to start looking for a replacement tranny? and if so what other tranny will fit my car and from what year and model fords.....thanks for any and all help.....Doug
