Has anyone taken apart the ignition switch linkage in a late model Crown Victoria or Grand Marquis?
Any idea how the sliding linkage rod, that has the Commutateur Interruptor Switch pin hole, works? What may cause it not to travel fully back and forth?
It will not even go all the way back with the ignition switch fully removed from the steering column.

See I have the problem where I can't shut my car off because the linkage will not come back so the key free spins backwards. Did I mention I need to put the ignition fuse and the battery cable to shut it off? I know sweet! This is a 96 p71
