I am storing my brothers 72 Ranchero GT while he is on an overseas military assignment. Not that familiar with Rancheros, but am more than comfortable working on cars. It has been covered up for 6 months and I went to turn it over today, only to find the battery dead. Not only that, but the battery tray is collapsing in place.

I have searched numerous sites on-line but have not been able to find a source for a replacement battery tray.

Anyone out there able to point me in the right direction, or tell me what other Fords might use the same battery tray?

Try any of these links and remember that the 72 Ranchero is the same platform as the Torino.

If you have any questions about your brother's Ranchero, try asking here... http://www.ranchero.us/forums/

Good luck, and Thank You to you and your brother!
