Hello everybody,
I have a 2004 crown vic police interceptor and i pulled the driveshaft off to replace the u-joints and when the slip yoke came out of the transmission, it started to leak tranny fluid out of the area where the slip yoke slides into. Is this normal? it's just a slow drip. And when i put the slip yoke back into the tranny it stopped leaking. Thanks for your help. |

Yup, that's normal. The trans sits a a slight angle, and will drip when you pull the slip joint. Just don't forget to recheck your fluid level afterwards. And DON'T OVERFILL.
