Inherited a few problems with my newly acquired 96 Grand Marquis, including inoperable side view mirrors. Troubleshooting hints would be appreciated as would instructions for removal of existing mirrors should that become necessary.

Start by checking the fuse. If it's good, pull the switch plate and test voltage on the power wire, then on the output wires with the switch pressed. The circuit is very similar to this, other than the turn signals.

Walk softly & carry a BIG SIX.

1st ? did they ever work while u have had the car? if not then some one may have done some work inside the door and if so then the first thing u should do is pull yur doorpanel off if the fuse isnt bad. alot of times people leave that socket unplugged the connects to the side mirrors, ive done it before especially if windows motors have been replaced, theres only about 5 or 6 screws holdin it on
