My 06 makes a weird thumping noise coming from the front of the motor only at startup and not all the time it only lasts a couple of seconds. I removed serpentine belt and started and I dont hear it . any suggestions? |

Possibly a bearing going bad on one of the accessories; water pump bearing, A/C bearing, power steering, or tensioner. You need to pinpoint this ASAP.

thanks, It's a tough one yo pinpoint I'm actually hoping it gets worse so I can find it. not sure of any other way the bearings seem fine when I manually spin them, would be great if it was the tensioner. |
