Just spraying with WD40 won't stop the squeaks if its a ball bearing or ball joint. It could also be the pump itself. If it still squeaks when you turn it WHILE SITTING AT IDLE IN YOUR DRIVEWAY, you should be able to locate exactly where its coming from.

im a mechanic, ford front ends are notorious for lower ball joints squeeking, and also possibly the upper control arms (depending on if your ball joints r built into the upper control arms). basically if u turn your steering wheel eitherway and it squeeks then its your lower ball joints, if it squeeks when u go over pot holes, speed bumps, drive way, etc..... then its your upper control arms
