Hello everyone, Im new. Will 17 inch Mustang bullet wheels fit my 1997 CV? Will I need any spacers?

GO to www.crownvic.net, and search for wheels. There is a thread about all the wheels that will and won't fit.
Mostly anything up to -02 FACTORY wheels will fit. Any competent tire/wheel shop will know what to do,

I added CAI, NICHE 19 X 8.5 " wheels with 245/45ZR 19 rubbers, and completely rebuilt the front end with poly bushings, Kooks headers, 2 1/4inch exhaust, TCI 2200-2400 rpm Stall converter
.PLANS:: engine upgrade, 5.4L 2v stroker, rebuild interior in leather w/ buckets, thinking about turbos

Thanks! I have looked in that section,maybe I have not seen all of the posts, but it sounds like people are using 1.25-1.5 spacers. That dosnt sound safe, have you heard otherwise?

I have 02 mustang bullit wheels on my 02 interceptor, tires were very close to the ball joints, so i used .25 spacers and they fit fine.

In most cases it is only 1/4 inch spacer that you need. Unless you really have a WIDE tire.
Right now I'm running 9" X 19" Niche wheels and 245/45R19Z tires with no problems. I have tried Bullit 8" x 18" with no problems.

Thanks, what year CV do you have? dont the CV from 2000 and up have lesser fit issues?
