i have a 2003 crown vic p71. i resently done away with the cats and o2 censors. but before i did that, when it was in overdrive and only going up hills it studders and hesitates. but only in overdrive and up hills. and its sounds like it is misfireing when i give it more gas while excelerating heavy, not normal exceleration. any ideas. thanks

Michael im having the same problem as u. i did away with my cat also. i was told to get my computer reprogrammed or put cats and new O2 sensors back on it that would fix the the hesitation. the computer is about $300 or find a shop that will do it for u. the shutter is from the trany. replace ur trany oil and filter. worst case is u have to replace or rebuild the trany. cops dont really take it easy on these cars. hope this might help ya a little.
