hello everyone,..new to this site, hope someone can help me.. have a 2002 interceptor check engine light came on a few weeks back..car seemed to still run fine.. went to a heavy acceleration to pass a car on the freeway and my car hesistated pretty bad for a second or two and the engine light that ad been on started flashing. stopped flashing after a few seconds and seems to be running k i guess as long as i dont try to ''gun it'' ..wondering if its the coils or what it could be as far as the engine light being on..and it blinking and the car hesitating under a sudden heavy acceleration..any help would be apreciated..has anyone had this experience with a vic?

Get someone to find out WHY the Check Engine light come on on the first place. Someone like Auto Zone will check it for free. If that can't be done, just about any shop with a code scanner can do it. At least you will find out what the problem is so you can repair it.

It's just a SUPER-DUTY Mustang GT Sedan. 198K miles and still rolling HARD.

1997 Crown Victoria P71 SVT *** ex-US Marshall service (the CAR)
STOCK?? I bet it was modified.

13.26 @ 107.24 MPH 1/4 mi w/ me, tools, & full tank of 93 octane

I added CAI, NICHE 19 X 8.5 " wheels with 245/45ZR 19 rubbers, and completely rebuilt the front end with poly bushings, Kooks headers, 2 1/4inch exhaust, TCI 2200-2400 rpm Stall converter

.PLANS:: engine upgrade, 5.4L 2v stroker, rebuild interior in leather w/ buckets, thinking about turbos

most common issue will be one of the coils is failing you will need to hook to a scanner to see which one is not firing correctly...
