Hello Friends,

My Wifes car is an '04 Crown Victoria P71! Always cold air coming through the air vents when it's on Hot position. I tried putting in a new relay switch and nothing!!! so does this mean the Heater Core is defective? Could there be something else wrong besides the Heater Core? Heater Core is big money? Any information would be apprecative Thank You Cool Ford People...

Look under the hood at the heater coil see if the hoses are hooked up. If not they were more that likely disconnected because of a leak. When the heater coil gose it leaks water on the passenger side floor.

If the AC works okay in all positions, and the Vent works okay, and venting air to the Floor is okay, well that eliminates the flapper door being bent or broken. If you move the air flow from vent to floor and DO NOT feel the air blowing at the floor level, the the door is shot.

Replacing a Heater Core is labor intense for a $75 part. You have to loosen and just about remove the entire dash. Look elsewhere is this forum for the procedures, or www.crownvic.net

It's just a SUPER-DUTY Mustang GT Sedan. 198K miles and still rolling HARD.

STOCK?? I bet it was modified.

13.26 @ 107.24 MPH 1/4 mi w/ me, tools, & full tank of 93 octane

I added CAI, NICHE 19 X 8.5 " wheels with 245/45ZR 19 rubbers, and completely rebuilt the front end with poly bushings, Kooks headers, 2 1/4inch exhaust, TCI 2200-2400 rpm Stall converter

.PLANS:: engine upgrade, 5.4L 2v stroker, rebuild interior in leather w/ buckets, thinking about turbos
