Hi I have a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria that is a factory built dedicated CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) powered car, this car originally started as a city police car in a small town in CA. the engine is a 4.6 V-8 engine it was sold with 52,000 miles on it when i bought it then I put on an additional 33,000 miles to bring it to 85K miles now.. it runs fantastic, has awesome oil pressure not a lick of carbon or black inside the exaust or inside the valve covers on top of the valves this car burns super clean, you would not believe how clean this car runs, it has 6 large Natural gas tanks 4 factory ford tanks then there was 2additional extended range tanks installed after the car was purchased from Ford, the car has had all seats replaced with gray ford bench seats from a same year car non police from a wrecking yard.. I have decided to see it because there is very few fueling stations here in Oregon..
Go green!!! aprox 85% cleaner running than gasoline, and less than 1/2 the cost of gasoline, I was fueling up for average cost of $1.40 per gallon of gasoline equivalent not bad huh?? range is about 300 miles highway or 22-23 mpg or 200 miles in city or 13mpg let me know if you want to see some pictures.. i will send them to a private e-mail address.
