fuel pump help!!

hello everyone i need some help on finding aa electric fuel pump that fits my car...it's an 84 ltd crown victoria with a 5.0...

my fuel pump went out and i wanted to know if there is any place where i can get a fuel pump for cheap? i've tried napa,autozone and kragens so far...those are the only auto parts stores closest to me and they want $90 to $150 and i dont have that much money...i was gonna try a junkyard but i dont think they will be any good cause they have been sitting for a long time...maybe some place online that i can get one cheap?

i was also thinking maybe i could not use the electric fuel pump and change it to a mechanical fuel pump if thats possible...

i took the pump out of the tank and tested it with the car battery and it wants to turn but it doesnt sounds like its stuck...well thanks for any help i get

For anyone with the same car: your '84 5.0 uses central fuel injection, which needs high pressure from an electric pump in the tank (around 39 psi). A mechanical pump can't make that, so going mechanical would also mean converting to a carburetor and intake, which costs more than the pump.

Cheaper ways to get the right pump: online parts stores usually beat the local counter price by a lot for the same in-tank pump, and a pull yard pump from a similar Ford of the same era can work if you test it on the battery before you pay. Replace the strainer sock on the bottom of the pump while you're in there, and check the tank for rust or varnish. A pump that "wants to turn" when you hook it straight to the battery is seized from varnish or worn out, and it will quit again even if you tap it free.
