I'm a newbie here, so here goes nothing:
Is this all possible? This week I will swap a 03' Grand Marquis motor with 64,000 miles to a 2001 P71 CVP. I was told I would probably have to use my 01' intake and I would need to swap my current oil cooler to 03' motor.
Are there any more modifications needed to have a successful swap? Need answers quick, this is going to happen this week
Thanks for all the help,
Dubb

The CVPI engine does need its computer to run. Or you can get the 03 computer re-flashed.
The only big differences with the CVPI engines is higher idle for LOTS of idle time and a higher top-end speed. There are the same engines.
The transmissions are tuned for quicker shift, higher shift points, and higher top-end.
THAT'S IT in a nutshell!

So will I be able to keep my current compter of the CVPI and install with the 03' engine?
If I can't keep it, how do I get it the 03' computer to flash over?[
