I am 29 and have been in the Army for 10 years, married with 4 kids and we love being outside.

I'm not looking for anything particularly fancy but I want a V10 (PSD is pricey) This vehicle will mainly be used for family trips when I need to carry more than my primary family vehicle (CX-9) can hold, and getting to work when weather doesn't permit me to ride my motorcycle. Also the ability to pull my in-law's 32 foot camper is a bonus that would be hard to do with an Expedition or 1500 Suburban. The prices on 2500 Suburbans seems quite a bit higher than the Excursions sell for, so here I am.

I have found a couple XLT's and Limited's on craigslist and ebay that I have been looking at. I would like to spend under $6000 if at all possible. Any one have suggestions on what I should look out for besides spitting plugs, just wondering what the problem area's on the 6.8 are. Thanks for any suggestions.
