I have a 1993 Crown Vic Police Interceptor. When I bought it, I was told it had a \\'97 engine. Now I need to replace the drive shaft and yoke, but I dont know if I need to get it from a \\'93 or a \\'97. How can I determine the year of the engine and transmission? |

The forging code on the engine block will tell you what year the engine is. There should be a tag on the trans telling you the code for the year it was made.
If you are changing the drive shaft and yoke (?), get one for the year of the car (1993). I'm curious to know why you are changing the yoke. If the trans is leaking at the yoke, its a trans seal, not the yoke. If the yoke is groved, then you replace the yoke.
