2006 - 2008 run about $7500-12,000 depending on department. If the dealer is reputable, go for it. Just remember that most P71 may only have 50,000 miles, but may have hundreds of thousands of idle hours. If the department that had it didn't allow for extended idle times, its a great deal. Many P71s used by large departments and taxi services will run for 200,000 miles and better. I've read of some going 400,000 miles before a rebuilt, that is if maintenance is strict and regular. Good luck.
I have a 1997 P71 ex-US Marshall service with 175,000 miles, and it runs great. Now I'm finishing rebuilding the front end. Should now be good for another 100,000 miles, if the roads hold up.
