I'm currently running a 400 in my 78 bronco, with only a 2 brl carb. Eventually i want to go to a 4brl but will have to upgrade my intake manifold anyways. Has anyone done or heard about putting EFI on a 351m/400? Edelbrock's site has them for smaller engines but did not see any for my application. In addition, anyone have any idea on cost vs performance. Restoring and fixing this thing up is an investment to me, so even if i have to save up a bit, not too worried about it. Thanks in advance to any info.

Yes I have (Rebuilt 302, 351W, 351M/400, 351C, 460) to EFI and have gone the other way to Carb'ed also.
Please Note : Rebuilt - Not just putting on EFI, EFI costs in its self, so a Total Rebuild is the way to go if you are going EFI (no games), you will want the motor to last for sometime if you go EFI.

I have had some motors in good condition & all I have done is put a good Cam Shaft in with Intake & Carb, worked out nice, these were for just right now though them in and go motors.
Please Note : Good Condition means (Low Miles, Not Smoking out the tail pipe, Good Compression on all cylinders).

On the other hand I have had to rebuild the motors from the ground up and still only went Carb'ed, in which case I beefed it up some, ok a lot, smiling.

Which setup do you think would work the best for EFI or just Fuel Injection in general? I'm going to be doing a Clevor Buildup this next winter using a 351W block 351C/M heads an adapter plate PME Perfomance and some type of FI setup. I was considering the stock Fuel Injection off of a 351W Truck. I will also be using a 3.85 crank, stock rods and 302 pistons to make the 392 Stroker. I will be needing to make my peak power within the 1000- 3000 rpm range as this is going into a fullsize Bronco that I wheel alot so high rpm performance is not an issue. What is is what Fuel Injection setup will best suit my needs. I have considered everything from an 80's 5 liter FI setup to a GM TB setup? Any help from the fuelie dept would be apreciated. Thanx. Let me see if I understand this, You got a 351W Block, is it a (9.200" or a 9.500" deck height ?).

You should be able to purchase adapter plates that will be using a 351W, 351C - 2V or 4V intake, you will need to mill to fit the intake on top, that I know of.
