My handle is LXSportRocks. I'm a retired Deputy Sheriff who has driven a gazillion miles in Impals, Caprices, and Crown Vics. Heck, way back in the day, I had a 78 Gran Fury with a 440 4BBL, now that was a cool car to go fast in, as long as you were going straight. It didn't handle curves very well.

Anyway, I love old muscle cars, especially Chevelles and Camaros of which I have had quite a few over the years, including a real 69 Z28. I sold it to pay for my last year of college. I should have dropped out and kept the car.

This may sound odd, but my latest quest for speed involves a car I am about to buy, an 02 Crown Vic LX Sport. Unless the owner backs out, it will be mine in a couple of days. It is black with gray interior and only 75K miles. At my age, you need maybe a little less speed than you used to and a little more comfort. I plan to add a chip and maybe the latest crown vic CVPI intake and throttle body. I just have to find out if this will involve reteaching the ECM.

I'm looking forward to some good old car talk. I also love college sports especially footbal.
