Get a copy of the Haynes Manual for your car, Either buy one or go tot he library and get one there. It will show you were most parts are located at.

Also, try www.fordparts.com for illustrations of parts.

The defroster problem sounds like a busted tubing. And the light s could be from a bad light module.

do you have auto climate control? If so there are some air silonoid air switches that the o-rings go out on inside the control. GOOD LUCK!!! $600.00 part at the dealer, I found one on e-bay for $168.00. AGAIN I SAY GOOD LUCK!!!

For the headlights pull the LCM lighting control module and open it. There are 4 small black cubes about 5/8" square. These are relays that make a tink sound when they actuate. Get the info. off of them and search the net. You can buy 4 for about $20. You have to solder them in. Not hard just takes patience and know how to solder. I fixed mine and it works great. This is a common problem. Also, you can find a guy on ebay that will take you box and sell you another one. He just replaces these little relays himself. Good luck....Dave

Have the same headlight issue with my 2004 Grand Marquis. Local mechanic told me it\\'s the \\"Light Control Module\\" and part is between $500-$600! Ouch! I had to drive home from a band booking, tired as hell, having to hold back on stalk with everyone flashing their brights at me. Getting repaired tomorrow.

Headlight problem can definitely be attributed to LCM [lighting control module] under dash -- just above gas pedal and attached to dash with a bracket. Usually a bad relay that can be replaced, but if you don't feel comfortable soldering, etc., you can pull the module, send it to Airbags [a place available on eBay] and for $53.00, they'll fix it permanently. Note: car will not come out of park while LCM is not installed. Thus, you have to ship off part and wait a few days before car will be usable again.
