I think I have finally found a diagram of the 1991 Lincoln TC Exec. 4.6 L....air compressor, dryer & controller....thanks from FordParts.com .... 8-)

you can check this link out: http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/Catal ... LH7viyyDAr ,,, :o

I also made a msft doc file showing the front & rear air suspension parts (via FordParts.com)....a repair-parts manual (Bently\\'s) mentions that these are for the years 1991 thru 1997...can\\'t confirm that.... :o

So the component location appears to be located under/attached to the front bumper on the drivers side as I located about a week ago.
It has a black plastic cover secured w/2 medium sized bolt/nuts & has a black air line exiting....traveling up along the fender well...by the air filter...back down to the front suspension components....back toward the engine fire wall...where it dives toward the air bag (not easily visible from the engine bay...top down view). I still have not located the electrical connector to the air compressor package but I am sure it will be visible when the black plastic cover is removed.... 8-)

Thanks to all for your assistance....very much appreciated...

The image link wouldn\\'t take...check below:
