Hey Guys,

I have 86 Bronco full size. The spare tire is mounted in the back of the truck. But I have a swing arm mount for the outside. But I dont have the hardware. What kind of screws would I need? How would I go about mounting it? Any help on this would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

On Broncos like mine with the outside, swing-away tire carrier, there are re-inforced plates behind the bolt holes in the rear quarter panel. If you just bolt the carrier to the side of the Bronco with some screws, the weight of the tire will rip'em right out. I would keep your tire inside, mount it on a roof carrier, or get one of the nifty bumper-mounted tire carriers.

WEEEELLLLLLLLL. I dont have a back bumper at this time as some dumba$$ tree pulled the thing off. But you should see that tree. I whooped its A$$!!!!!. But anywhoo. I would like one of the rear bumper tire mounts. I found one that a guy in Texas made and trying to get him to make me one as well... COME ON BIGBOYNTEXAS And if i knew how to upload a pic. here i would let ya look at it.

I think I know the one you're talking about, that's what I would like to get in the future. I don't use my carrier now, just have the 35" spare bolted to the rear floor. If you have the pic, put it in your SFO gallery and then transfer it here by using the "IMG" (Image) button when posting your reply.
