My late model 2002 CVPI is having some serious issues. First off when the head lights are on and I step on the brakes the driver side tail light goes out completely. If the head lights and running light are off I have a driver side brake light but it is as dim as the night time running lights. My driver rear turn signal would not work when the headlight were on and flashed very rapid if the headlights were off. At the time the passenger turn signal worked just fine. Now I have no rear turn signals at all. 3 days ago I lost something in my ABS system as the ABS and brake lights both came on. I have an identical CVPI I use strictly to rob parts from. I have swapped both brake pedal switches, the LCM, The turn signal switch system. I have checked all the fuses and replaced the bulbs on the driver side rear. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Definitely sounds like a short someplace. Now where to find it is the question. I would start with making sure that ALL my bulbs in the rear are brand new. (A short in a bulb can cause this too.) Then try it out. If the same problem occurs, you will need to go through each wire to the LCM, brake swutches, and turn signal looking for chafed wires or bare wires. It is extremely time consuming, and tedious work. But eventually you will find it.
I have completely rewired a car brake system because of a problem like this, only to find a bare wire in the OLD wiring AFTER I had it all out. At least I had a spare wiring harness then.
