My 1991 LTC Exce.....has generic...mechanical odometer/gas gage/ NON-digital insturment panel
The oem small white plastic gear wheels for the odometer are of course broken w/time & usage....

Anyone have a source of recommendations....?

Try going to www.RockAuto.com for your parts. Great prices!
Or try e-bay, but you may be buying someone elses problem. Do a Google search for the odometer replacement for sale.
Go to www.crownvic.net and check out some of the posts on odometer replacement. Some of these guys actually post who and where they bought their replacements from.

.PLANS:: engine upgrade, 5.4L 2v stroker, rebuild interior in leather w/ buckets, thinking about turbos

Hey JD....
I found something several month ago....but
they wanted ~$60 bucks for the 2 tiny plastic gear "wheels"....wow....
I maybe stuck w/that....the dealer isn't much better.....
I'll keep looking around....
Most of the old....'bone-yard' vehicles have the same broken teeth
if you can find them....
Most vehicles are digital dashboards....so that combination of poor FORD oem design
and availability aren't worth the time and results..... |
