I just got a 2006 CVPI and the odometer doesn't work. At night its very faint but the numbers make no sense. If any of you could please let me know if this is a fuse, or something else i should be worrying about. Also, my horn doesn't work whatsoever, which really kills me. Could this also be a fuse? Please help!!! |

There was a problem with the new cluster in '06, quite a few have failed. You may need to replace the whole thing, if you search on CVN you will see that the display going out is quite common on '06 Crown Vics.
The horn could be a fuse, could be a cut wire, could be the clockspring, could be a bad horn.
Try to put direct power to the horn and see if it works. |

I found that the connection for the horn has no horn whatsoever! So I went to Bennett auto and bought highway blasters. I was quoted today from a speedometer shop $385 to go into the cluster and repair it. |

If you want to pay that, go ahead. Or you could just replace the cluster with an '07+ and note that the mileage isn't correct if you ever sell the car and when you register it. |
