If i have my subs turned up close to the max, the trunk will pop open occasionally. But when im driving... Which is dangerous, I have to floor it to get it to close again. What about the subs is causing this? |

I doubt its the subs themselves. Your trunk lock is probably not adjusted properly, and is not secure.
If the subs ARE connected directly to sheet metal, then they could deflect enough metal to unlock the truck, but you must be pushing serious power to do that.

Turn the subs down.
Does this happen when parked?
What kind of subs(power, size, age), what kind of amps(age, power) |

The subs are resting on the trunk floor, they're dual illuminate 12 inch, 1,100 watts peak being pushed by a 760 watt pioneer gm-5100t amp. I don't know how old they are, I got them used off Craigslist. The main reson i suspect the subs Is because it didnt start happening until i got the subs, and its only happened when ive had the subs on full power. |
