Hello all, I am new to this site. I am a owner of a 2005 Mercury Marquis LS. I was surfing the net and saw some Crown Vics & Marquis with 2010 Mustang 18" take off wheels and tires. I have to admit those wheels/tires look much better than the stock wheels. I just bought my Marquis two weeks ago, prior to that car I owned a 2001 Lincoln Town Car. I really liked the Lincoln and it served me well however when I moved to Minnesota from Texas it started to give me problems. I guess it was use to baking in the sun in south Texas and when I brought it to the cold weather it took a dump. It was a good car nonetheless. So I traded it in for the 05 Marquis with 45k miles on it. What I noticed right off the bat that the Mercury seems to have more pep. If I'm not mistaken the 01 Lincoln and the 05 have the same HP so go figure. I always kept the Lincoln in good tune but it just didn't pull like my Marquis. As far as the wheels are concerned I went ahead and ordered a set of 2010 Mustang takeoff wheels off of ebay for $765.74 which includes shipping. That was the best price I could find on the net and I just had to have them. Also I understand that I will not have to use wheel spacers with the 05 Marquis. If I am wrong plz someone tell me. I don't have pictures of my car yet but I will take some after I install my new wheels once they arrive. Did I get a good deal on the zero mile take off wheels/tires. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated and thank you all for being a part of this fourm.....det45
No spacers needed!
Any wheel(aside from the polished Bullits) off an '05 or newer Mustang will bolt right onto any '03 or newer Grand Marquis, Town Car or Crown Victoria.
what tires do those wheels come with?
I have an '05 and had '05 Mustang Bullits
and now have 2010 GT500 wheels
Welcome, The 05 will have a little more zing than the 01 Lincoln. The air box is updated and I'm thinking the HP went from 239 to 250. It may also have a different rear axle ratio making it pull better. Did tires come with the wheels you bought? Summer performance tires wont like the winter road conditions in Minnesota. Sunfish
