I own a 2005 ford excursion limited with the 6.0 L powerstroke. My family and I are thinking about driving from california to vermont. it's about 2,800 miles. I was curious if it would cause any damage to the engine. I know diesel motors go forever with proper maintaince. Would it be capable of driving 16hr days for 3-4 days. Any info is greatly appreciated. And what should i do to prepare my vehicle for the trip?
