Hey guys, I have a Check Engine Light on. I was getting 2 codes, one for an O2 sensor being shot and the other p0172 for system too rich. The 02 sensor code is gone after i replaced it but im still getting the p0172 code. any suggestions?

On my 1997 CV, I had gotten a similar set of codes. After a good Google search of forums, it turned out to be a vacuum leak. But try cleaning your MAF first. This can show a rich condition.

Also I purchased a blue tooth ODB II scanner that works with my Android Smart Phone and Tablet that can pull and reset codes but also has vacuum readings and tons of other testing info the link is below

See, now thats the problem. I just replaced the MAF with a motorcraft replacement. So it can't be that.where is the most common place to look for a vacuum leak?

For the vacuum leaks it is going to suck a bit. If you have the Haynes or Chilton manuals they usually have a decent diagram. What you want to watch out for is anything unplugged (duh I know but it is way easy to knock stuff off working on something else), also you will notice that the lines are usually a hard plastic with rubber connectors so look for a line that is cracked or broken. Usually the best place to start is around the intake manifold as that is where the vacuum is created.
Hopefully it is not in your heater/ac vent system as that is a major pain to track down.

I own a Chilton manual for the Crown Victoria but its very vague when it comes to specific repairs since it covers 23 years of Panthers. Funny thing is when i clear the CEL on my tuner the car runs fine, but it seems like when i put the A/C on the CEL comes back on and i get the p0172 code. I'm not sure yet but i'll reset it again and try it with/without the AC on.
