Close to buying an 06 PI. Mechanic checked in out and gave two thumbs up on the engine, tranny and suspension. The only thing he noticed, was the dome light works on and off. Sometimes it will go on and then sometimes it will flash quickly but not come on. You mess with it and sometimes it will work and then won't...

The other weird thing is the spotlight. If you flip it on while in the down position it won't turn on, but if you twist up and to the left it will work. It will then turn off when you move it to the right..

Any thoughts or experience with this? Thanks!

Does the dome light do the same thing when you turn it on with the headlight switch? Have you tried a new bulb?
The spotlight probably has a chaffed wire in there, just unplug it and don't use it.

In both cases, the first thing I would do is clean the switch. Then start checking wiring.

The dome light probably has a dirty switch. A couple of shots of non-lubricating contact cleaner should clean it out.

The spotlight may have a chaffed wire. Rewiring it shouldn't be a big problem.
