Hello all,
Need some help.. I have a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor P71 and want to install American Racing Torq-Thrust wheels.. I have seen a lot of Vics with this set up but never was able to ask questions about the wheels.. the generic part number I have for the wheels is AR105M for 16 inch wheels.. I know what the bolt pattern is 5-114 but need to know what the backspacing is and what the correct off set would be.. front and back.. Or if someone knows the correct American Racing Part number for the 16 inch. Has anyone done this swap or knows anyone that has??? I could really use the help...

Thanks,
Dan

I'll refer you to a write-up from www.crownvic.net on wheels and tires.

When you call to place your order, most places will ask what car it is for. They should be able to tell you about how much backspacing and offset you need. Call a couple of companies that specialize in wheels and tires like the Tire Rack or Discount Tires that advertise in the Mustang magazines.

You may also want to check some of the CV forums from www.crownvic.net, www.crownvic.ca/forum, or FordFreedom.net I'm sure you could find someone who has had the same problem trying to find out the correct offset and backspacing.

I had it easier with my 97 CVPI. I used the same wheels that would fit a 91-98 Mustang GT.

It's just a SUPER-DUTY Mustang GT Sedan. 198K miles and still rolling HARD.

STOCK?? I bet it was modified.

13.26 @ 107.24 MPH 1/4 mi w/ me, tools, & full tank of 93 octane

I added CAI, NICHE 19 X 8.5 " wheels with 245/45ZR 19 rubbers, and completely rebuilt the front end with poly bushings, Kooks headers, 2 1/4inch exhaust, TCI 2200-2400 rpm Stall converter

.PLANS:: engine upgrade, 5.4L 2v stroker, rebuild interior in leather w/ buckets, thinking about turbos

Any wheel that will fit on an '05 or newer Mustang will fit your car, the offset is around 40 to 50, lower(30 or so) and the wheel will stick out in the front.
There is a version of the Torque Thrust that is +45(17x9), that is the one you want.
