Hi Guys!

I have a 2003 CVPI. I am going to replace the struts, shocks, lower ball joints, connecting pins, and control arm bushings. I was probably going to go with Moog for the ball joints, but I need suggestions for the struts. Do they make a complete strut assembly? What/where is a good place/store/website to purchase them? Any other suggestions and tips would be appreciated, first time really wrenching on the car. Thank you!!!

I'm sending you a link to www.crownvic.net about the front suspension

http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2176934

I've used AC/Delco front and rear shocks because they handle better than others. Of course, they are truck parts being used on the CVPI.

For struts and strut assemblies, I would search several of the forums, like www.crownvic.net or www.crownvic.ca to see what others have to say. also, you may want to check out the Mercury Marauder (www.mercurymarauder.org ) to see. A lot depends on what you are using the car for.

Road racing, slalom racing, auto cross uses a different setup than drag racing does.

I added CAI, NICHE 19 X 8.5 " wheels with 245/45ZR 19 rubbers, and completely rebuilt the front end with poly bushings, Kooks headers, 2 1/4inch exhaust, TCI 2200-2400 rpm Stall converter

.PLANS:: engine upgrade, 5.4L 2v stroker, rebuild interior in leather w/ buckets, thinking about turbos

Best choice for front and rear is KYB Gas-a-Just:
Front - 551602
Rear - 555603

Shop around, I got mine from Amazon.

Thanx a lot jdmeaux for your input! You answer a lot of posts. Its nice to see that. I just ordered KYB struts and Moog ball joints/stabilizer bar links from Rock Auto.com. They seem to be the most reasonable. Thanx again.
