2004 Ford Excursion Diesel. Does anyone or has anyone had trouble with the shifter being locked.I've had to push the brake pedal down hard to get tranny to shift out of park.Is this a sensor by the brake pedal?I need some advice!

The cause of this problem is the Brake Light Switch. My taillights quit working. Simple $12 fix. YouTube it!
