Hello everyone. So, when I turn on my headlights, all lights turn on except for the headlights themselves. If I mess with the highbeam switch, they would turn on eventually except for last night. I had to drive home holding the brights on manually. I could not get the headlights to turn on this time. Last fall I had this same problem, after replacing the bulbs the problem went away up until last night. Is this an issue with the LCM? |

Replace the light switch.

I thought of replacing only the switch, but the highbeams turn on when I "flash" them, but not when they are actually "turned on". That led me to believe that the switch itself is working. If it is the LCM, do you guys think this is a good solution to the problem? :

Yes, it's the LCM. My '03 did the exact same thing last year. At first, the lights just flashed off & on, then they went altogether, unless you held the "flash to pass" feature on the turn signal stalk. I still have the old one in a box. It's a fairly large unit. Try to find a used one. Mine was $500, fortunately covered by my extended warranty. 2003 was not a good year for the CV/Marauder electronics. See Edmunds.com for the rating. Since, I've also had to replace the door control module, the HVAC controller and a resistor in the HVAC system.
