1990 lariat wiper not working then would work

Hello All
I just replace the wiper motor and the wiper switch, they worked, i was driving in the rain and tried to turn on wipers not working then, after i shut off the truck turned the key to raise the power window and the wiper worked one sweep then parked themselves re cranked and they worked fine , any suggestion would be helpful, thanks Ed

I have finally fixed this problem
first it was the ignition switch
I first replaced the cylinder lock but i didn't know about the switch on the steering post under the dash
mine after taking it off came apart into three pieces, new one works just great
my driver window was no``t` working to well sometime slow going up, took panel off and looked inside door, very rusty window hardware used some grease and motorr oil and while at it replaced the motor, now works like a new one
