Daisy head rivets in the ford mustangs

My understanding is that on the 1968 and 1969 ford mustangs ford used just regular pop rivets and in the 1970 mustangs they started using the daisy head rivets . This is the information I received from marti auto works . Does any body know of something that says this is incorrect information ?
