rancho lift... the best?

My 33's are coming in a week and im going to need a lift. I want to get a four inch lift and most bronco owners tell me that the rancho lift is the best. I was looking at super lift. Can someone let me know why the rancho lift is better?. I drive a 96 xlt and am planing to get the longer radius arms.

Dick Cepek is the best for a Bronco, Thats their specialty.

Superlift has some problems with the alignment of pieces of
their kits. Unless you have a late 80's rig don't bother.

As far as I have been told from people who have the Cepek
kits. They essentially drop in with little resistance.
And they are much cheaper

I wouldn't say that Rancho is any better or worse than the other brands, but the Dick Cepek is "reported" to be the strongest, if you plan to run the Baja 1000 or other endurance races. The Superlift brand has the upgraded steering system as an option, which only is supposed to work with their kit (or maybe Skyjacker's). I have not heard of many problems with Rancho's 4" kit, since it's pretty stout. I would only suggest getting the extended radius arms, like you had mentioned. I am getting a Skyjacker 6" kit for my 84 Bronco, by the way...

Thanks for the info.. I am really liking the dick cepek kit but i am going on word of mouth and genral opinion. If any body had any specific reasons one kit is better than the other that would give that much more assurance that i went with best kit. Something like thicker, stronger parts or better designs, length of radius arms things like that. I have tried my research on the web but i seems that specs are hard to come by. Any more educated opinios?

You might check out www.performancelifts.com They had a group buy recently and may do one again for the Dick Cepek lifts, either the 4" or 6" Stage I or II. It was a decent price. The reason I am going with Skyjacker is that it comes with new, lifted rear spring packs. The DC kits, and I believe the Rancho kits, use a block under the stock rear springs to obtain lift.

Rancho or Cepek, the top 2. Rancho has some real nice bracketry.

BDS just copied Cepek's radius arms, but I'm not certain about their bracketry.

i have the 4" rancho with extended arms and add-a-leafs no blocks i installed it myself had no problems

hey i have rough country on one of my broncos which is an 88 its 4 inch and it was a piece of cake to install and the flex i got from it was awesome the ride was smoother and the stance i gained was perfect. for the price of the lift and the extreme quality of the braketry i would totally save the money and buy rough country its so worth the time and money, and who cares about name brand, because my other bronco is and 87 xlt and it has a 4 inch procomp thinking that it would be better because of the name and price it was a pain in the ass to put on, and the ride is no better nor is the braketry, in my opinion its all about the same. but i wish i would have put rough country on the 87 to begin with it would of saved me about a grand to begin with . but hey thats just my 2 cents because a lot of people told me that the pro comp was the best lift by far but hey its your money
