Hi all,

I just bought an 05 Grand Marquis. All doors except the driver's can be locked/unlocked with the remote. I can see the movement and hear the click on the driver's door but it won't lock or unlock. Same observation when I use the keypad. Thankfully the driver door still works fine with the key.

Is this a common problem? Is there a fix? Hopefully a quick and easy way.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.

Sam

Knock, knock... Is this forum always this active? (Yes, sarcasm.)

Anyway, I found the problem. The actuator is still good, but is no longer attached to the door. It's hold by a single rivet and the rivet isn't there anymore. I'll have to remove the door panel and see if it can be re-attached.

Feel free to contribute if you have experienced this problem before. Thanks.
