New floor in the cargo compartment, Cherry resilient flooring.
I pulled 12v from the carb vent solenoid wire. Since it is on only in "ON", not "Start", I had to splice it into the existing wiring.

This is the HEI module mounted. The fender liner is about the coolest place in the engine compartment.

A little preventive maintenance.
This is what came out of the hole. Its only about 2" to the bottom of the cowl, so you can reach in with a finger and clean it out.

This is a 1 1/4" hole just below the vent grill.

I ripped out the paper kick panel. You can see leaves in the vent.
