Shop recommendation for 2010 Town Car suspension/ride tuning - East Coast
Hi all, first post here. I have a 2010 Lincoln Town Car with a clean, rust-free frame. I want to make it the most comfortable highway cruiser I can.
Years ago I had an ex-police Crown Vic with HD sway bars and heavy-duty shocks. It was one of the best-riding cars I've ever owned. I'd like to give the Town Car a similar setup: police-spec (or aftermarket equivalent) sway bars and shocks, plus whatever bushings, tie rods and steering parts it needs. I want to keep the factory rear air springs. The goal is a soft but controlled ride, not a lowered or performance build.
A few questions:
1. Can anyone recommend a shop in NJ that really knows Panthers, especially suspension tuning? I'm willing to travel, even a few states, for the right shop.
2. For a comfort-focused setup that keeps the air springs, which sway bars and shocks would you pick? Has anyone done P71 bars on a Town Car, and how did it change the ride?
3. Anything I should have checked or replaced on a 2010 Town Car before I start on the suspension (air ride system, steering, known weak spots)?
Thanks in advance. Happy to post updates as the project goes.
