The story
I do not know what Agency the car came from . I got it from a Ford Dealership in south west NJ. The car was a silver marked patrol car. There are no decal residue to read a name in the sun fade in the paint. The car is loaded with all power options and carpet floor. Most of the emergency equiptment was still in the car - siren strobes all around mobil vision and all the lights and sirens run off common small switches in the dash trim - never a floor console- there was a computer mount .
This was an even trade at the Dealership for a top of the line Volvo Cross Country AWD Wagon - got tired of the soccer mom wagon.
The car came with a paper that the motor was replaced at 200,XXX miles and the odometer is at 219,XXX now.
The car runs like new - 20.4 mpg at 100 mile round trip daily drive at 80-90mph - I need to either drive under 55 in the far right lane or follow the other unmarked cars in the left lane OR I really screw up traffic.
99% drivers are afraid to pass me - so my one hour fifteen minute commute can be done in just 40 minutes if i get in the unmarked police car convoy on the Highway.
I have owned alot of retired police cars - never got a lemon - this is one of the cleanest I bought and 1999 is my favorite year for the P71- last new one i drove at work was a 2007 before retiring.
